Believe in Me – Donovan moves to a small Oklahoma town in 1964 to accept a teaching job, although when he gets there he learns he has been assigned to coach the girls basketball team. What\’s more, the girls have no self respect and little help from the school. Authentic heartland account ascends above its familiar underdog formula. Donovan and Mathis as his loyal wife are first rate. Cast includes Jeffrey Donovan, Samantha Mathis, Bruce Dem, Bob Gunton, Heather Matarazzo, Alicia Lagano, and Chris Ellis. (108 minutes, 2007)

Say It Isn\’t So – Genially un-ambitious Klein falls for the new hairdresser in town Graham. They have consensual sex and then Klein finds out that Graham is his sister. It is a complete flop. Cast includes Heather Graham, Chris Klein, Orlando Jones, Sally Field, Richard Jenkins, John Rothman, Brent Briscoe, and Sarah Silverman. (96 minutes, 1988)

The In Laws – Everybody can relate to this awkward situation. The in laws are coming and you just have to survive. Don\’t try this at home! Unrated version runs 93. Cast includes Peter Falk, Alan Arkin, Richard Libertini, and Nancy Dussault. (103 minutes, 1964)

Cuba Crossing – Our lead man Stuart Whitman becomes embroiled in a scheme to take out Fidel Castro. Filmed in Key West, Florida, and at minimum the landscape is pretty. Cast includes Stuart Whitman, Robert Vaughn, Caren Kaye, Raymond St. Jacques, Woody Strode, Sybil Danning, Albert Salmi, and Michael Gazzo. (90 minutes, 1980)

Clue – Silly and insipid mystery based on the popular board game of the same name with all the identifiable characters Mrs. Peacock, Colonel Mustard, Miss Red, et al. assembled for a murderous day in a Victorian mansion. Everyone tries tremendously hard but there is nothing they can do to save this weak film. Cast includes Eileen Brennan, Tim Curry, Madeline Kahn, Christopher Lloyd, Michael McKean, Martin Ponder, and Howard Hesseman. (87 minutes, 1985)
